In The Mumbling Round, current and former PhD candidates reflect on their ideas, questions, and research journey in the International Graduate School (IGS) “Resonant Self-World Relations in Ancient and Modern Socio-Religious Practices.” Ranging from Ancient History, Archaeology, Religious Studies, to Urban Studies, Sociology, Modern History and Philosophy, in each episode one of our researchers reflects on their relation to their subject and research experiences in an international and interdisciplinary setting. From different angles, they address a central question: How do people across time and place build meaningful relationships with the material world, rituals, identity, and the sacred?
